Terms of Use
These terms apply to cardosec at cardosec.com. By using cardosec you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service. Contact: hello@cardosec.com.
1. What cardosec is
cardosec is an educational tool for practising how to explain cybersecurity topics out loud. It draws topics, times your answer, and helps you review it against key points and, if you choose, AI feedback.
2. Early access and pricing
cardosec is currently in early access and free, with every feature included. We plan to introduce paid plans. Before any feature you use stops being free, we'll tell you in the app and give you reasonable notice. Nothing will be charged without you choosing a paid plan.
3. Your account
You sign in with a Google account and are responsible for activity under your account. Keep your Google account secure. You can delete your cardosec account at any time from Account → Delete account. You must be 18 or over, or have a parent or guardian's consent.
4. Your AI provider key
AI feedback runs on the Anthropic or OpenAI account whose key you add. Usage is billed to you by that provider under its terms. You're responsible for keeping the key valid and for any costs; grading is limited to 40 requests per hour per account. Remove the key whenever you like.
5. Acceptable use
Don't use cardosec to break the law or to harm others. In particular, don't:
- attack, probe or overload the service, or get around its limits or security (if you find a vulnerability, report it to hello@cardosec.com instead);
- access other people's accounts or data;
- scrape or copy the content in bulk, or resell the service;
- use anything learned on cardosec against systems you're not authorised to test.
We may suspend accounts that break these rules.
6. Content and AI feedback
Topics, key points, scenarios and questions are for learning, and were written with the help of AI. They may contain mistakes or become out of date. AI feedback is generated automatically and can be wrong. Don't rely on cardosec as professional, legal or security advice, or as the only preparation for an exam, interview or real incident. Incident scenarios are fictional.
7. Ownership
cardosec, its card content, design and brand belong to us. You may share links to card pages and use the content for your own learning. Your answers and practice history are yours; you let us process them only to provide the service as described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep cardosec available but don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, add or remove features, and we may update these terms. We'll post updates here, and tell signed-in users about significant changes before they take effect.
9. Disclaimer and liability
cardosec is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for charges from your AI provider. Our total liability for any claim relating to cardosec is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (currently nothing, as the service is free). Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.
10. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction, subject to any rights you have under the law where you live.
